How we ended up importing German plywood
We went looking for a ply that wouldn't warp in a hot cabin. We found one in Bavaria.
Vöhringer have been pressing furniture-grade ply in Bavaria since 1948. Hymer build with it. So do most of the premium European converters you'll have seen at a show and quietly wondered how they got the weight down.
We went looking for it after one too many builds where standard birch moved in the heat, or needed sealing on site and never quite matched. Becoming the UK distributor was the only way to get it here reliably — so now we hold the stock ourselves.
It means we can build your van from it, and it means you can buy a sheet of it off us for your own project. Same material either way.
