The starting point for a straightforward floor in a typical SWB. Insulated build-ups, carpet-lined walls and arches are estimated alongside once we've seen the van.

01Vinyl or carpet — which should I have?
Vinyl on the floor, carpet on the walls and arches, for most people. Vinyl takes wet boots and mops clean; carpet is warmer and quieter but holds sand and dog hair. Plenty of builds use both.
02Is the floor insulated?
It can be, and we'd recommend it. An insulated build-up costs a little more and a lot less cold comes up through the floor in February.
03Will it take a swivel seat or a rock-and-roll bed?
Yes — tell us at estimate stage. Anything bolting through the floor needs the build-up planned around it, and load spreaders where the fixings land.
04How long does it take?
A floor is usually a day, or two with a full insulated build-up and carpeted arches.
